For some time now I have been listening to horror stories about people desperately trying to find their perfect equine partner.

Some are bucked off and injured at viewings, some have multiple failed vettings. Some have bought a horse only to find they are completely over horsed and then become so scared of the animal they can not ride it to sell it on. Some buy horses with behavioural problems which are hidden at the viewing. Some buy a lame or sick horse without knowing. Some are fooled by dealers who tell them anything to secure a sale. Others just buy the first horse they view and discover he is not what they wanted at all!

I am an experienced instructor and horse trainer. I have been involved in buying and selling horses for a number of years. Mainly providing a professional viewing service to clients (as their instructor) who are looking for a horse, but also through selling my own horses who are produced at home and sold on to riding club, hunting, hacking or competition homes.

People very often come to me asking if I have their perfect horse and telling me of the nightmare they are having searching. They also ask me where I find mine!
