Complete horse finder service.

OK, what you want to know first is that it will cost £275 basic. This is providing I do not view horses outside of the group 1 areas. (See viewing service, prices. Basically east midlands areas.) There will be additional costs if I do view any horse outside of these areas.*

Should I become involved in price negotiation I shall aim to save you at least £275! I do aim to keep your costs down.

How it works..

This service is based on 4 hours (approx) horse search time, 3 x phone call services and one full ridden viewing. I do not supply this service to buy on the web site as it is essential I speak to the client before full payment is made. However it is preferable that you pay the deposit via the payments page so that I have your details and can call you to begin the process.

Firstly we need a good chat. I want as much information as possible from you. Tell me about the horse your hoping to own, about your riding history about your horse care arrangements and about your last horse, your instructor farrier etc. Tell me everything. This gives you a good chance to be specific about what you do and don't want. I need to understand strict and flexible parameters so I can use my initiative in searching for you. A good chat will give you the opportunity to pick my brain, share your horror stories and express any concerns you may have. It will also hopefully give you some faith in me as you don't know me from Adam!

Then (or beforehand) you must fill out the "Horse buyers questionnaire." You will find this in the menu to the left of the screen. Please take your time over this and include every little thing you like. Some information which you may consider irrelevant may cause me to steer away or towards certain horses. Lots of information is the very best tool I can have to find you a suitable horse.

Then once I have received full payment I get to work!

I will aim to give you an estimated time scale.

In the initial stages I am working to find as many potential horses as I can. I search the vast database of internet horse sales sites as well as paper publications. I will search and compare adverts and speak to dealers and producers, sometimes breeders too. In some cases I may contact breed societies or certain riding or driving clubs. Perhaps pony clubs or hunt secretaries depending on your criteria.

I will collect several possible horses and then make phone calls speaking to owners / sellers to narrow these horses down further. (Going by your criteria.)

I then take the three** most likely suitable horses and put the owners through the "Phone call service." (See Phone call service on the menu to the left of the screen.) The questionnaire I take the seller through is a very detailed list of specific and relevant questions. This is the best way to gain as much information as possible about a horse before deciding whether to view him / her.

At this point I will have a lot of information on three potentially suitable horses. This process can take approximately a week to ten days. That's when you will hear from me again.

I will call you and we will discuss each horses good and bad points. I will explain any particular issues which I may be concerned about and highlight any points which should be considered most carefully. You will receive the completed questionnaires in the post giving you a chance to study each horses individual merits.

Then you choose one of these horses for me to view.

You are most welcome to attend the viewing with me.

I shall carry out a full ridden viewing service on your chosen horse and then report back to you with my findings. (Please see "Viewing service" on the menu for further details on viewings.)

Hopefully by the time we have been through this most thorough process, you may be presented with a horse for sale who matches your criteria very well and has been favourably viewed by myself.

At this point you should be feeling quite confident about buying this animal. (Subject to vetting of course.) I would always highly recommend that you view the horse yourself before purchase, and if you wish me to attend this viewing with you then I shall be happy to attend at a discounted rate to my usual viewing rate.

The actual purchase of the horse is not for me to deal with. This is a contract between yourself and the seller. You may employ my services to negotiate a better price and a trial period if you wish. I can advise and guide you throughout the whole process, including the purchase but I do not deal with the actual buying of your horse.

However if the complete horse finder service is unsuccessful then you may wish to start again. The whole process may be repeated three times. If I have not found your horse by the third time we complete this process then the next time will cost you nothing.

This has never happened yet! First time is usually successful.

Customer satisfaction is what I am striving to build my reputation on, and while you are employing my services your best interests are foremost in my mind.

I can of course tailor this service to suit you. Although I am ideally located in the centre of the country, I can search specific area's should you wish me to. Please contact me with your requirements.

Please bear in mind reasonable restrictions. If your criteria is so specific that I need to search beyond the group 1 areas then you will be charged extra should I be viewing horses further away.

If your criteria is so specific AND / OR there are not enough horses of a certain type on the market at any particular time then I will again have to search further away from my base which will incur further charges should I view those horses. In some very specific cases I may not reasonably be expected to find three horses to take through the phone call service. In this situation you will be informed and I will aim to complete two phone call services.

I always keep your costs in mind and aim to provide a quality and professional service which is efficient and good value for money. However I can only work with what I am given and what I find. Whilst I guarantee to make every effort to work to your best advantage, nobody can absolutely guarantee to find your perfect horse. (Be very wary of them if they do!)
